By using or visiting this Website ("UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org" or "Website"), you agree to the following Terms of Use (“Terms”) as well as the Privacy Policy here too. UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org is owned by the Citizen Power Campaign (“Campaign”).  Any terms herein for the benefit of UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org shall also be fully applicable to, and inure to the benefit of, the Campaign.

We insist that anything you post here be in the spirit of common sense, common courtesy, and common decency.

Some rules about site content (for particulars, read the full Terms of Use)

You will not post anything in violation of anyone’s intellectual property rights, including without limitation copyright or trademark.  See below for a more detailed restatement of this policy.

You give UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org a perpetual, royalty-free worldwide license to copy and publish anything you post here, even if you delete your posting.  As a matter of courtesy we may, in the UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org’s complete discretion, and upon your polite request, if convenient, de-publish anything that you posted and deleted here.  If this is a matter of concern for you, do not post here.  See below for an even more detailed statement of this policy.

You are licensed to copy, distribute and publish any materials copyrighted by Citizen Power Campaign on UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org under Creative Commons License BY-NC.   Material copyrighted by and licensed by others is subject to whatever provisions they establish but assume that they reserve all rights unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You will not alter or modify any part of the Website other than by uploading materials as invited by the website.

Some rules for and about registered users

To access some features of the Website, such as our social network, you may have to register and create an account. 

You may never use anothers account without permission. 

When creating your account, you must provide accurate and complete information. 

You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your account. You – and you alone -- must keep your account password secure.
Please notify UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.  We may or may not do anything about it, but we like to know.

UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org will not be liable for any losses caused by any unauthorized use of your account. 

But you may be liable for the losses of UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org or others, whatever they might be, due to such unauthorized use.

 UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org grants the operators of public search engines such as Google, Bing and all others permission to use bots and spiders to copy materials from the site for the sole purpose of creating publicly available searchable indices of the materials, but not caches or archives of such materials except so as to facilitate searching.

UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org reserves the right to revoke these exceptions either generally or in specific cases.

Intellectual Property Rights

These are subject to copyright and other intellectual property rights under U.S. and foreign laws and international conventions.

Content on the Website owned by the Campaign is provided to you AS IS for your information and personal use only but may, under the terms of Creative Commons BY-NC (attribution/non-commercial) be used, copied, reproduced, distributed, transmitted, broadcast, displayed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any other purposes whatsoever without the prior written consent of the Campaign.  This license may be revoked, in our discretion, at any time, individually or generally respecting any content hereon.

You agree not to circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with security related features of the UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org.


UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org reserves all rights not expressly granted in and to the Website and the Content.

Site Content, especially the license you hereby grant to UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org in User Submissions

UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org permits you to post content. We call this content User Submissions.  Whether or not such User Submissions are published, UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any submissions.

By submitting them, however, you thereby grant the UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org and the Campaign (and its legal successors, if any). 

The license you hereby grant includes the Campaign’s right to promote and redistribute part or all of the UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org Website (and derivative works) in any media formats and through any media channels.

Moreover, you will not post any threatening, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive statements or materials that encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense anywhere they might be reading this, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise seriously inappropriate in our sole discretion.  Nondeletion of any content does not imply agreement with or tolerance by the Campaign of the content.

Nothing herein assures you the right that you will have the ability to remove or delete a User Submission from UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org.

UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org does not endorse any User Submission or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein. The Campaign expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with User Submissions. UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org reserves the right to remove Content and User Submissions without prior notice. Do not assume that if UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org hasn removed it that it endorses it.

UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org reserves the right to terminate your access to its Website if we catching you breaking these rules. UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org also reserves the right to decide whether Content or a User Submission is appropriate and complies with these Terms of Use for anything, especially copyright infringement and violations of intellectual property law, obscene or defamatory material, and in every other way in its complete discretion.

If you are a copyright or trademark or other intellectual property owner or an agent thereof and believe that any User Submission or other content infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing to Citizen Power Campaign, 18002 Irvine Blvd., Ste. 108, Tustin, 92780. Include:   
(i) A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;

   
(ii) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site;

   
(iii) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material;

   
(iv) Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, preferably an email address;

   
(v) A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and

   
(vi) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Legalistic Considerations

Notwithstanding your waivers and assignments contained herein, you agree that in any legal dispute between you and the UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org, its proprietor, administrators or staff will be submitted to binding arbitration according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association, in Orange County, State of California, and shall be subject to the laws, and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts, of the State of California and brought exclusively in the venue of Orange County.

UnplugThePoliticalMachine.org reserves the right to change in these Terms and Conditions in any way at any time so if it is matter of concern for you its your responsibility to keep up with changes, or just go to some other website whose Terms of Use you like better.
